Text Box: This year we made $2, 600 to go toward our members fund. That will surely help us out in the year to come with all of our trips and activities we decide to take part in. A lot of people here at the Recovery Center don’t get to go to too many places so the trips at Tazewell House offer them a good change of pace. The theme this year was “The Lady in Black”. Everyone seemed to get a thrilling good time out of. This is one fundraiser people look forward to all year long. We can always count on plenty of help from friends and neighbors, as well as from our old faithful who show up to work every year. Text Box: Since September 20, 2006 I have been working at the Mercer County workshop. Perhaps they can add this to my list of work experiences. This job has boosted my self esteem. I am working with other people. That allows me to work on my social skills and I have noticed that have improved quite a bit. Since I am working and staying busy, I have less time to dwell on my problems. Text Box: Text Box: Good workers are hard to find right now and I praise myself for being one. This job also allows me to have some extra spending money just in time for Christmas. I would like to say thanks to everyone for making my situation so much better this year!
