Cumberland Mountain Community Services Board is advertising for employment for the following positions:

Cumberland Mountain Community Services Board is seeking to hire a PSYCHIATRIST to provide general psychiatry services to adults and a limited number of children/adolescents in a comprehensive community mental health setting. Will work with an outpatient clinic, a residential crisis stabilization program and a substance use disorder treatment clinic.  CMCSB currently employs a Medical Director, a child psychiatrist (by contract) and a psychiatric nurse practitioner.  Duties will include outpatient clinics serving all age groups and diagnostic categories.  In addition, daily evaluation and treatment oversight will occur at a co-located  16 bed substance use disorder treatment center (The Laurels – 10 beds) and Residential Recovery services (6 beds), a residential crisis stabilization program focused on diverting admissions from acute inpatient care.  These service locations are supported by RN’s, counselors and case managers.  This position does not include call rotation and typically involves usual day time M-F work hours, but does involve some infrequent after usual work hours telephone support to the Laurels/Residential Recovery programs.  This position provides a competitive salary and fringe benefits package, including medical, dental, life and disability insurance and participation in the Virginia Retirement System.  For specific information on this position or for a full description of duties and responsibilities, please contact Jeff Gee, MD,  Medical Director of CMCSB, at 276-964-6702 or via email to jgee@cmcsb.com.  Interested candidates should apply by following directions below.   Deadline to apply:  Open Until Filled.  EOE.

 

Individual needed for CASE MANAGER position to provide general case management services to long-term mentally ill individuals in the Buchanan County area.   This is a full-time position with excellent fringe benefits.  Duties include conducting assessments, developing individual services plans, providing supportive counseling, monitoring consumer’s progress toward goals, and advocating for needed resources.  Bachelors degree in human services field required.   Masters degree or Virginia RN license preferred.  One year of direct service experience is required in order to meet Medicaid QMHP guidelines. INDIVIDUALS NEEDED FOR MASTER’S LEVEL CRISIS COUNSELORS POSITIONS.  Cumberland Mountain Community Services Board (CMCSB) is seeking individuals to provide short-term solution-focused crisis counseling.  Duties include counseling, crisis intervention, conducting evaluations for psychiatric hospitalization and assisting other community agencies in resolving crisis situations. LCSW or LPC preferred. Minimum qualification is a Masters degree in a human services field. Experience is preferred but not required.  Valid driver’s license and good driving record are also required.   Candidates must pass all CMCSB background screenings. Cumberland Mountain Community Services is recruiting for a Part-time Supported Living Specialist.  This position provides direct support to long-term mentally ill individuals, to include assistance with activities of daily living, finances, shopping, transportation, etc.   This is a floating position that will travel to other service locations as needed.  Virginia LPN license or Associates degree in human services field is required.  One year of direct service experience preferred.  Valid driver’s license and good driving record is also required. Individual needed PART-TIME RESIDENTIAL TECHNICIAN position for an alcohol and drug treatment program located in Lebanon.  Duties include monitoring clients, ensuring client participation in activities, assisting with hygiene, and transporting clients when necessary.  Assist clinical staff when needed.  Shifts may vary. PART-TIME LPN needed for part-time position at an alcohol and drug treatment program located in Lebanon.  Responsible for monitoring consumer activity and participation in programming, assist consumers with personal hygiene, performs necessary housekeeping activities to ensure cleanliness of facility, interviews consumers and collects pertinent data, records consumer's vital signs and laboratory test results and observes for changes in behaviors and symptoms, assists physician in consumer examinations and evaluations, receives, records and interprets physician orders.  Licensed as an LPN in Virginia required.  Nursing experience preferred.  Valid drivers license and good driving record required.   Interested candidates apply by following directions below.  Deadline to apply:  Open until filled.    EOE.
